Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club, commonly known as Wolves, is a professional football club based in Wolverhampton, England. Established as St. Luke’s F.C. in 1877, the club rebranded to Wolverhampton Wanderers in 1879 and became a founding member of the Football League in 1888. Wolves have a storied history with multiple domestic titles, including three English League championships (1953–54, 1957–58, 1958–59) under the management of Stan Cullis. The club also boasts six FA Cup wins, achieved in 1893, 1908, 1949, and 1960. Wolves have experienced fluctuating fortunes, with promotions and relegations between the top divisions and notable triumphs in the League Cup in 1974 and 1980. Since 2016, the club has been owned by the Chinese conglomerate Fosun International. Molineux Stadium has been their home ground since 1889, and their traditional kit features old gold shirts and black shorts.
