Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club, commonly known as Brighton, is a professional football team based in Brighton and Hove, East Sussex, England. Founded in 1901, the club is nicknamed the “Seagulls” and competes in the Premier League. Brighton’s home ground is the Falmer Stadium, where they moved in 2011 after a 14-year period without a permanent home.Initially, Brighton played in the Southern League, winning their only major domestic trophy, the FA Charity Shield, in 1910. They joined the Football League in 1920 and had notable success between 1979 and 1983, reaching the First Division and the 1983 FA Cup final. After financial troubles in the late 1990s and a period in the lower leagues, Brighton achieved successive promotions to return to the Premier League in 2017. The 2022–23 season saw them finish sixth in the Premier League, securing their first-ever qualification for European club football.
