Vitória Sport Clube, commonly known as Vitória de Guimarães, is a Portuguese professional football club founded in 1922 and based in Guimarães. The club competes in the Primeira Liga, Portugal’s top football division, and plays its home matches at Estádio D. Afonso Henriques, which holds over 30,000 spectators. Throughout its history, Vitória de Guimarães has had strong domestic and international performances, including finishing third in the Primeira Liga on four occasions, most recently in the 2007/08 season. They have won the Taça de Portugal once (2012/13) and claimed the Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira in 1988. Vitória de Guimarães is also known for its regular participation in European competitions, where their best result was reaching the quarter-finals of the 1986/87 UEFA Cup. As of the 2023/24 season, the club is ranked 5th in the Primeira Liga under the management of Rui Borges.
