SBV Vitesse Arnhem, commonly known as Vitesse, is a Dutch professional football club based in Arnhem. Established on May 14, 1892, the club is one of the oldest in Dutch football history. Vitesse currently plays in the Eerste Divisie, having been relegated from the Eredivisie after the 2023–24 season. Since 1998, they have called the GelreDome their home, a stadium with a capacity of 21,248. Vitesse experienced its most successful period in the 1990s, with their best Eredivisie finish being third place in the 1997–98 season. The club won the KNVB Cup in 2017 and has reached the final on several occasions. Vitesse has been a significant stepping stone for many future stars, including Phillip Cocu, Roy Makaay, and Martin Ødegaard.
