Toronto FC

Toronto Football Club (commonly known as Toronto FC or TFC) is a Canadian professional soccer club based in Toronto. The team competes in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member of the Eastern Conference. Toronto FC joined MLS in 2007 as the league’s first Canadian-based franchise. They play their home games at BMO Field, located at Exhibition Place on Toronto’s waterfront. Operated by Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE), the club also oversees Toronto FC II, its MLS Next Pro affiliate, and is linked with other major sports franchises in Toronto, such as the Maple Leafs and Raptors. Toronto FC achieved a historic domestic treble in 2017 by winning the MLS Cup, Supporters’ Shield, and Canadian Championship, the only MLS team to do so. The club has won the Canadian Championship eight times and reached the CONCACAF Champions League finals in 2018. As of 2023, it is one of the most valuable MLS clubs.
