Miami Heat

The Miami Heat, established in 1988, quickly became a dominant force in the NBA under the leadership of Pat Riley. The franchise gained prominence in the mid-90s with Alonzo Mourning and Tim Hardaway, leading to four consecutive division titles. The 2003 drafting of Dwyane Wade and the 2004 trade for Shaquille O’Neal propelled the Heat to their first NBA championship in 2006. The “Big Three” era, featuring Wade, LeBron James, and Chris Bosh, resulted in two more championships in 2012 and 2013. The Heat, known for their resilience, returned to the Finals in 2020 and 2023, solidifying their legacy as a powerhouse.
