Kalidou Koulibaly (born June 20, 1991) is a distinguished centre-back currently playing for Al-Hilal in the Saudi Pro League and captains the Senegal national team. His professional career began with Metz in France in 2010, followed by a successful stint at Genk in Belgium where he won the Belgian Cup in his first season. Koulibaly joined Napoli in 2014, securing the Supercoppa Italiana and Coppa Italia titles. He briefly played for Chelsea before moving to Al-Hilal in 2022. Internationally, Koulibaly started with the France U-20 team but chose to represent Senegal, debuting in 2015. He was instrumental in Senegal’s 2017 Africa Cup of Nations campaign, the 2018 World Cup, and their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations final run. In 2021, Koulibaly helped Senegal win the Africa Cup of Nations, defeating Egypt in the final.
