Kai Lukas Havertz (born 11 June 1999) is a German professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or forward for Arsenal in the Premier League and the Germany national team. A product of Bayer Leverkusen’s youth academy, Havertz made his senior debut in 2016, becoming the club’s youngest-ever debutant and goalscorer in the Bundesliga. Known for his versatility, he quickly garnered attention across Europe. In 2020, Chelsea signed Havertz for €84 million (£72 million), making him the club’s second-most expensive signing at the time. With Chelsea, he won the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup, famously scoring the decisive goals in the Champions League and Club World Cup finals. In June 2023, Havertz joined Arsenal. Internationally, Havertz made his senior debut for Germany in 2018 and has since represented his country in multiple major tournaments, including the UEFA European Championships and the FIFA World Cup.
