In 2017, Cancelo joined Inter Milan on loan, contributing significantly with 26 Serie A appearances, one goal, and five assists. His standout season led to a move to Juventus in 2018 for €40.4 million. Cancelo quickly became a key player, debuting in a 3–2 win against Chievo and scoring his first goal for Juventus against Lazio.
