Edinson Cavani, born on 14 February 1987, is a renowned Uruguayan striker, currently playing for Boca Juniors in Argentina. Known as “El Matador,” he is regarded as one of the top strikers of his generation. Cavani began his career with Danubio in Uruguay before moving to Palermo in 2007. He gained prominence at Napoli, winning the Coppa Italia and becoming Serie A’s top scorer in 2012-13. In 2013, he joined PSG for €64 million, winning six Ligue 1 titles and becoming the club’s second-highest scorer. Internationally, Cavani has 136 caps and 58 goals, helping Uruguay to win the 2011 Copa América. He also earned accolades in Serie A and Ligue 1, including Ligue 1 Player of the Year (2016-17) and the Golden Foot in 2018.
