Washington Wizards

The Washington Wizards, based in Washington, D.C., are a professional basketball team in the NBA’s Southeast Division. Founded in 1961 as the Chicago Packers, the franchise has undergone several name changes, becoming the Baltimore Bullets, Washington Bullets, and finally the Wizards in 1997. Playing at Capital One Arena, the Wizards have won one NBA Championship (1978) and have appeared in four NBA Finals. They boast four conference titles and eight division titles, with their best record being 60–22 in 1975. Notable figures include Wes Unseld, who won both NBA MVP and Finals MVP, and other legends like Walt Bellamy and Earl Monroe.
