Udinese Calcio, often referred to simply as Udinese, is a historic football club based in Udine, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy. Established on 30 November 1896 as a sports club and officially as a football club on 5 July 1911, Udinese has a rich history in Italian football. The team competes in Serie A, Italy’s top football division, and plays its home matches at the Bluenergy Stadium, which has a capacity of 25,132. Udinese is known for its distinctive black and white striped kit and has a strong fan base in the Friuli region and surrounding areas. The club has experienced various ups and downs over the years, but it remains a respected team in Italian football, particularly for its ability to discover and develop young talent. The club is owned by Giampaolo Pozzo and is currently managed by Kosta Runjaić, competing in the 2023-24 Serie A season.
