Sport-Club Freiburg e.V., commonly known as SC Freiburg, is a professional football club based in Freiburg im Breisgau, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Established in 1904, the club has a rich history and is well-known for its passionate fanbase and consistent performances. SC Freiburg enjoyed promotion to the Bundesliga in 2016 and has since established itself in Germany’s top football division. Between 1954 and 2021, the team played at the Dreisamstadion before moving to the newly built Europa-Park Stadion in 2021. The club’s most notable manager was Volker Finke, who held the position from 1991 to 2007 and was once the longest-serving manager in German professional football. Joachim Löw, former Germany national team manager, is the club’s second-highest all-time goal scorer with 81 goals.
