Rangers

Rangers Football Club is a historic football club based in Glasgow, Scotland, competing in the Scottish Premiership. Founded in March 1872 by four teenage boys, Rangers is one of Scotland’s oldest football clubs. The team played its first match against Callander in May 1872. Rangers’ home ground is Ibrox Stadium, a Category B listed building opened in 1929 and the third-largest stadium in Scotland. Known for their royal blue shirts, Rangers hold the record for the most Scottish League titles (55), Scottish Cups (34), and Scottish League Cups (28). They have achieved the domestic treble seven times. Rangers won the European Cup Winners’ Cup in 1972 and reached the UEFA Cup Final in 2008 and the UEFA Europa League Final in 2022.
