Olympique Gymnaste Club de Nice, commonly known as OGC Nice or simply Nice, is a historic French football club based in Nice. Founded on July 9, 1904, Nice has a rich heritage in French football and currently competes in Ligue 1, the top tier of French football. The club has a notable history, having won Ligue 1 four times, the Trophée des Champions once, and the Coupe de France three times. Most of their successes came during the 1950s, with legendary figures such as Héctor De Bourgoing, Pancho Gonzales, and JoaquÃn Valle, the club’s all-time leading goalscorer.
