The New Orleans Saints are an NFL team based in New Orleans and part of the NFC South division. Established in 1967, the team had a challenging start, experiencing 20 consecutive seasons without a winning record. They saw their first playoff appearance in 1987 and achieved their first playoff win in 2000. Their most notable success came in 2009, winning Super Bowl XLIV against the Indianapolis Colts. Known for their resilience, the Saints have become consistent playoff contenders in recent decades, despite being one of only two NFL teams with a single Super Bowl win.
