Minnesota Timberwolves

The Minnesota Timberwolves, established in 1989, are an NBA team based in Minneapolis, playing in the Western Conference’s Northwest Division. Despite early struggles, the team’s fortunes changed with the 1995 draft acquisition of Kevin Garnett, leading to eight consecutive playoff appearances from 1997 to 2004. Garnett’s MVP season in 2004 saw the Wolves win their first division title and reach the Western Conference Finals. After a lengthy rebuilding phase and Garnett’s trade in 2007, the team ended a 14-year playoff drought in 2018. The Timberwolves play home games at Target Center, owned by Glen Taylor.
