Football Club Copenhagen, known as FC Copenhagen (FCK), is a prominent Danish football club based in Copenhagen. Established on July 1, 1992, FCK emerged from the merger of Kjøbenhavns Boldklub and Boldklubben 1903. Kjøbenhavns Boldklub, dating back to 1876, is recognized as the oldest club in Continental Europe. FC Copenhagen has secured a shared record 15 Danish Football Championships and 9 Danish Cups. The club has achieved notable success in European competitions, reaching the group stage of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League more times than any other Danish team. Additionally, they are the only Danish club to advance to the knockout stages of the Champions League. FC Copenhagen’s home ground, Parken Stadium, is also used by the Denmark national team. The club’s fierce rivalry with Brøndby IF is marked by the high-profile Copenhagen Derby.
