Boavista Futebol Clube, commonly known as Boavista, is a historic Portuguese sports club based in Porto. Founded on 1 August 1903 by British entrepreneurs and Portuguese textile workers, Boavista is one of the oldest football clubs in Portugal. The club is renowned for its distinctive chequered black-and-white shirts and has a rich history in various sports beyond football, including chess, gymnastics, and volleyball.
