Wladimir Klitschko

Wladimir Klitschko, born on March 25, 1976, in Semipalatinsk, Kazakh SSR (now Kazakhstan), is a retired Ukrainian professional boxer and former heavyweight champion. Known as “Dr. Steelhammer,” he dominated the heavyweight division from 2000 to 2015, holding multiple world titles, including unified WBA, IBF, WBO, and IBO belts. Klitschko’s reign was marked by a tactical approach, a powerful jab, and extraordinary knockout power. His physical strength and athletic footwork set him apart from his peers, making him one of the greatest heavyweights in boxing history. Beyond boxing, Klitschko has contributed to Ukraine’s defense during the Russian invasion, serving in the Ukrainian Army. His elder brother, Vitali Klitschko, is also a legendary boxer and the current mayor of Kyiv.
