Timo Werner (born 6 March 1996) is a German forward who currently plays for Tottenham Hotspur, on loan from RB Leipzig, and the Germany national team. Starting his career at VfB Stuttgart in 2013, Werner became the club’s youngest debutant and goalscorer. He moved to RB Leipzig in 2016, setting records as the youngest player to reach 150 and 200 Bundesliga appearances and finishing as the second-highest scorer in the 2019-20 season. After becoming Leipzig’s all-time top scorer, Werner joined Chelsea in 2020 for €50 million, winning the UEFA Champions League in his first season. Returning to Leipzig in 2022, he continued to impress. Internationally, Werner debuted for Germany in 2017, winning the FIFA Confederations Cup and the Golden Boot. He has also represented Germany in the 2018 World Cup and Euro 2020
