Timothy Devon Anderson Jr. (born June 23, 1993) is an American professional baseball shortstop, formerly with the Chicago White Sox and the Miami Marlins. Anderson was drafted by the White Sox in the first round of the 2013 MLB Draft after playing at East Central Community College. He debuted in 2016 and quickly became one of the league’s top shortstops. Anderson led the American League in batting average in 2019, won the Silver Slugger Award in 2020, and earned All-Star selections in both 2021 and 2022. Known for his offensive prowess and energetic play, Anderson is a dynamic presence in the game.
