Matthew Kent Olson, born March 29, 1994, is a standout first baseman for the Atlanta Braves in Major League Baseball. Originally drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the first round of the 2012 MLB draft, Olson made his debut in 2016 and spent six productive seasons with the A’s. Known for his powerful bat and elite defensive skills, he earned two Gold Gloves, a Silver Slugger, and four Fielding Bible Awards. Traded to the Braves in 2022, he signed an eight-year extension and quickly became a key player, earning All-Star honors in 2021 and 2023 for his offensive prowess.
