Jan Oblak (b. 7 January 1993) is a Slovenian goalkeeper renowned for his exceptional skill and leadership. Playing for Atlético Madrid and captaining the Slovenia national team, Oblak is considered one of the world’s elite goalkeepers. He began his career at Benfica, where he was part of the 2013–14 treble-winning squad. Transferring to Atlético Madrid in 2014 for a record €16 million, Oblak won the Ricardo Zamora Trophy five times, including a record-setting 18 goals conceded in 2015–16. With over 400 appearances for Atlético, he has won La Liga and is a multiple-time Slovenian Footballer of the Year.
