James Daniel Maddison (born 23 November 1996) is an English attacking midfielder for Tottenham Hotspur and the England national team. He began his career with Coventry City, then moved to Norwich City in 2016, where he was named in the Championship PFA Team of the Year and EFL Team of the Season. After a loan spell at Aberdeen, he joined Leicester City in 2018, winning the FA Cup and FA Community Shield in 2021. Maddison signed for Tottenham Hotspur in 2023. He has represented England at under-21 and senior levels, including the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Maddison was born in Coventry and has Irish ancestry.
