Eugene Cyril Smith III (born October 10, 1990) is an American professional football quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks in the NFL. Smith had an eventful career, marked by a rough start with the New York Jets before finding success later with the Seahawks. After being drafted in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft, Smith spent time as a backup quarterback for various teams before his career resurgence in 2022 with the Seahawks, where he earned a Pro Bowl selection and the Comeback Player of the Year award.
