DeMar Darnell DeRozan, born on August 7, 1989, is an American professional basketball player currently with the Sacramento Kings in the NBA. He was drafted ninth overall by the Toronto Raptors in 2009 after an impressive college career at USC. Over his nine seasons with the Raptors, he became a six-time NBA All-Star and earned three All-NBA Team selections, contributing significantly to five playoff appearances. After stints with the San Antonio Spurs and the Chicago Bulls, he was traded to the Kings in 2024. DeRozan also won gold medals with Team USA in the 2014 FIBA World Cup and the 2016 Olympics, and ranks sixth among active NBA players in all-time scoring
