Daniel Stephen Jones III (born May 27, 1997) is the starting quarterback for the New York Giants in the NFL. A graduate of Duke University, he was drafted sixth overall by the Giants in the 2019 NFL Draft. Known for his mobility and passing ability, Jones led the Giants to their first playoff appearance since 2016 during his fourth season in 2022, and the team secured their first postseason win since 2011. In March 2023, he signed a four-year, $160 million contract extension with the Giants. He is often nicknamed “Danny Dimes” due to his playmaking and ability to throw accurate passes under pressure.
