Ángel Di María (born 14 February 1988) is an Argentine footballer renowned for his versatility as a right winger and attacking midfielder. Starting at Rosario Central, he rose to prominence at Benfica, winning the Primeira Liga and Taça da Liga. His €25 million move to Real Madrid brought La Liga and UEFA Champions League titles. A British record transfer to Manchester United preceded his successful spell at PSG, where he won five league titles and was pivotal in their 2020 Champions League run. Di María joined Juventus in 2022 before returning to Benfica. Internationally, he won the 2007 U-20 World Cup, Olympic gold in 2008, and the World Cup in 2022, also claiming Copa América titles in 2021 and 2024. He retired from the national team after the 2024 Copa América.
