Aaron Charles Rodgers (born December 2, 1983) is an American football quarterback for the New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL). Rodgers began his college career at Butte Community College before transferring to the University of California, Berkeley, where he set several records. Drafted 24th overall by the Green Bay Packers in 2005, Rodgers served as a backup to Brett Favre before becoming the starter in 2008. In 2010, Rodgers led the Packers to a Super Bowl XLV victory, earning Super Bowl MVP honors. Over his 18 seasons with the Packers, he became a four-time league MVP and earned 10 Pro Bowl selections. Known for his precise passing and low interception rates, Rodgers is widely regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history. He joined the New York Jets in 2023, bringing veteran leadership and championship aspirations to the team.
