Torino Football Club, commonly known as Toro, is a prestigious Italian football club based in Turin, Piedmont. Founded in 1906 as Foot-Ball Club Torino, the team has a rich history, including seven Serie A titles, with a remarkable five consecutive championships in the 1940s. The team, famously known as Grande Torino, was a dominant force until the tragic 1949 Superga air disaster claimed the entire squad. Torino has also won the Coppa Italia five times, with their last victory in the 1992–93 season. Internationally, Torino claimed the Mitropa Cup in 1991 and were UEFA Cup finalists in 1991–92. Their home ground is the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino, formerly known as Stadio Comunale “Vittorio Pozzo.” The club’s colors are maroon, and their emblem is a rampant bull, symbolizing the city of Turin. Torino’s fierce rivalry with Juventus is highlighted in the Derby della Mole.
