Sacramento Kings

The Sacramento Kings are an American professional basketball team based in Sacramento, California. Competing in the NBA’s Western Conference as a member of the Pacific Division, the Kings play their home games at the Golden 1 Center. Originally founded in 1923 as the Rochester Seagrams, the franchise became the Kings in 1948 after relocating to Cincinnati and later moving to Kansas City before settling in Sacramento in 1985. The Kings’ most notable period was during the early 2000s under coach Rick Adelman, featuring stars like Chris Webber, Peja Stojaković, and Mike Bibby. Despite this success, the Kings have yet to win an NBA Championship and have experienced a long playoff drought, making their recent playoff appearances a significant milestone for the franchise.
