Real Sociedad de Fútbol, founded on 7 September 1909, is a prominent Spanish club based in Donostia-San Sebastián, Basque Country. Known for its historic home, Anoeta Stadium, the club has won La Liga twice (1980–81, 1981–82) and been a runner-up three times. It has also secured the Copa del Rey three times, in 1909, 1987, and 2020. Real Sociedad, a founding member of La Liga, is renowned for its fierce Basque derby with Athletic Bilbao.
