Indiana Pacers

The Indiana Pacers, based in Indianapolis, are a prominent NBA team, competing in the Eastern Conference’s Central Division. Founded in 1967 as an ABA team, the Pacers joined the NBA in 1976 following the ABA-NBA merger. They play at Gainbridge Fieldhouse and are named in honor of Indiana’s pace car and harness racing history. The Pacers clinched three ABA titles (1970, 1972, 1973) and were NBA Eastern Conference Champions in 2000. With nine division titles, the Pacers boast a rich history, including Hall of Famers like Reggie Miller and Chris Mullin. Their legacy extends internationally with several players honored in global basketball Halls of Fame.
