Građanski nogometni klub Dinamo Zagreb, commonly known as Dinamo Zagreb, is Croatia’s most successful football club. Founded in 1911 as 1. HŠK Građanski and later re-established as FD Dinamo in 1945, the club is based in Zagreb and plays at Stadion Maksimir. Dinamo Zagreb has dominated Croatian football, securing 25 Prva HNL titles, 16 Croatian Cups, and 8 Croatian Super Cups. They are notable for winning the 1966–67 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup, making them the only Croatian team to claim a European trophy. The club has been a mainstay in top-flight football since its inception and has a rich history, including a significant presence in the Yugoslav First League before Croatia’s independence. Their strong domestic record and European success underline their prominent status in Croatian and European football.
