Bayer 04 Leverkusen, founded in 1904 by Bayer pharmaceutical employees, has established itself as a formidable force in German football. Based in Leverkusen, North Rhine-Westphalia, and playing at the BayArena, the club’s colors are red and black. Leverkusen achieved promotion to the Bundesliga in 1979 and won their first major title, the UEFA Cup, in 1988, followed by the DFB Pokal in 1993. In 2024, they made history by winning their first Bundesliga title and another DFB Pokal, becoming the first German team to complete an unbeaten domestic double and setting a European record with 51 consecutive unbeaten games.
