A talented guard, he played college basketball for the Kentucky Wildcats for one year before declaring for the NBA Draft. Selected 13th overall by the Heat in 2019, Herro quickly made an impact, earning a spot on the NBA All-Rookie Second Team in 2020. He showcased his skills by reaching the NBA Finals in his rookie season and won the NBA Sixth Man of the Year award in 2022.
