Roquan Daevon Smith (born April 8, 1997) is an American professional football linebacker for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League (NFL). A standout at the University of Georgia, Smith became the first player in Bulldogs history to win the prestigious Butkus Award, given to the nation’s best linebacker. Known for his sideline-to-sideline speed, tackling ability, and football IQ, Smith was selected by the Chicago Bears as the eighth overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. After a successful career with the Bears, Smith was traded to the Ravens in the 2022 season, where he continued to be a dominant force in the middle of the defense. Smith’s leadership, work ethic, and ability to read offenses make him one of the top linebackers in the NFL. He remains a key figure in the Ravens’ defense, helping anchor their formidable linebacker corps.
