Raheem Shaquille Sterling MBE (born 8 December 1994) is an English professional footballer who plays as a winger for Chelsea in the Premier League. Sterling’s career began at Queens Park Rangers, but he gained prominence after joining Liverpool in 2010. He won the prestigious Golden Boy award in 2014. In July 2015, Sterling transferred to Manchester City for £49 million, a record fee for an English player at the time. At City, he was instrumental in winning back-to-back Premier League titles in 2017–18 and 2018–19 and earned accolades such as PFA Young Player of the Year and FWA Footballer of the Year in 2019. He secured two more Premier League titles with City in 2020–21 and 2021–22 before moving to Chelsea in July 2022. Sterling, born in Jamaica, has represented England in multiple FIFA World Cups and UEFA European Championships.
