Pierre-Emerick Emiliano François Aubameyang, born on June 18, 1989, is a professional footballer who plays as a striker for Saudi Pro League club Al Qadsiah and captains the Gabon national team. Starting his senior career at AC Milan, Aubameyang went on numerous loan spells in France before making a mark with Saint-Étienne, where he won the Coupe de la Ligue. His success continued at Borussia Dortmund, where he was the Bundesliga’s top goalscorer in the 2016–17 season and won the DFB-Pokal. In 2018, he transferred to Arsenal for a then-record fee, becoming the most expensive Gabonese player and winning an FA Cup. Aubameyang later played for Barcelona, Chelsea, and joined Marseille in 2023. Internationally, he is Gabon’s all-time top player and goalscorer, having won the African Footballer of the Year award in 2016.
