Philip Walter Foden (born 28 May 2000) is an English midfielder who plays for Manchester City and the England national team. His rise began in 2017 when he won the FIFA U-17 World Cup Golden Ball, leading England to victory. Foden debuted for City in the same year and was named BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year. With over 200 appearances, he has won fifteen trophies, including the 2022–23 continental treble and multiple Premier League titles. He’s also the youngest English player to score in the UEFA Champions League knockout stages. Foden was named Premier League Player of the Season in 2024 and has represented England in UEFA Euro 2020, the 2022 World Cup, and Euro 2024.
