The New York Rangers, established in 1926, are a storied NHL team based in New York City. Competing in the Eastern Conference’s Metropolitan Division, they play home games at the iconic Madison Square Garden, shared with the NBA’s New York Knicks. The Rangers are part of the “Original Six” NHL teams and have a passionate fan base. Known for their four Stanley Cup championships, most recently in 1994, they are a cornerstone of New York sports culture. As one of three NHL teams in the New York area, the Rangers maintain intense rivalries with the New Jersey Devils and New York Islanders.
