Semien has previously played for the Chicago White Sox, Oakland Athletics, and Toronto Blue Jays. He was an All-Star in 2021, receiving both the Gold Glove and Silver Slugger Awards. Semien signed a lucrative seven-year, $175 million contract with the Rangers after the 2021 season.
