Manuel Arturo Machado, born July 6, 1992, is an American professional baseball player who plays third base and shortstop for the San Diego Padres in MLB. A highly touted prospect, he gained national attention during his high school career at Brito High School in Miami. Drafted third overall by the Baltimore Orioles in 2010, Machado quickly made his mark in the majors, known for his powerful bat and exceptional defensive skills. He is a two-time All-Star and has earned multiple Gold Glove and Silver Slugger awards. Additionally, Machado proudly represents the Dominican Republic in international competitions.
