Jonas Valančiūnas (born May 6, 1992) is a Lithuanian professional basketball player, currently playing for the Washington Wizards in the NBA. Drafted fifth overall by the Toronto Raptors in the 2011 NBA Draft, he developed into a versatile center known for his scoring, rebounding, and shot-blocking abilities. After seven seasons with the Raptors, he was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies in 2019, where he continued to excel. In 2021, he joined the New Orleans Pelicans and was later traded to the Wizards in 2024. Valančiūnas remains a key figure, valued for his low-post dominance and leadership.
