Hakim Ziyech

Hakim Ziyech (born March 19, 1993) is a professional footballer who plays as a right winger or attacking midfielder for Galatasaray in the Süper Lig and captains the Morocco national team. Known as “The Wizard” by Ajax supporters, Ziyech began his career at Heerenveen in 2012 and moved to Twente in 2014. He joined Ajax in 2016, where his 2018–19 season was particularly remarkable, scoring 16 goals and providing 13 assists in the Eredivisie. Ziyech transferred to Chelsea in 2020. Eligible to represent either the Netherlands or Morocco, he chose to play for Morocco, featuring in the FIFA World Cup in 2018 and 2022, and the Africa Cup of Nations in 2019 and 2023. Renowned for his finishing, dribbling, and technique, Ziyech was named among the top 10 UEFA Champions League players of the 2018–19 season and ranked 29th in The Guardian’s list of the world’s best footballers in 2019.
