Francisco Miguel Lindor Serrano, known as “Mr. Smile,” is a Puerto Rican professional baseball shortstop for the New York Mets. Born on November 14, 1993, in Caguas, Puerto Rico, Lindor began playing baseball at a young age before moving to Florida. Drafted by the Cleveland Indians (now Guardians) in the 2011 MLB Draft, he quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a top prospect. A switch hitter and right-handed thrower, Lindor is known for his defensive skills, leadership, and infectious enthusiasm. He made his MLB debut in 2015 and has since earned multiple All-Star selections, Gold Glove Awards, and Silver Sluggers.
