Draymond Green was born in Saginaw, Michigan, and grew up in a close-knit community. He attended Saginaw High School, where he quickly made a name for himself as one of the best basketball players in the state. Under the guidance of coach Lou Dawkins, Green led his high school team to a 26-1 record and a Class A State Championship during his junior year.
