Christian McCaffrey

Christian Jackson McCaffrey, born on June 7, 1996, in Castle Rock, Colorado, is a professional football running back for the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL. McCaffrey played college football at Stanford, where he made a significant impact, earning the AP College Football Player of the Year title as a sophomore in 2015 and becoming a Heisman Trophy finalist. He was selected by the Carolina Panthers as the eighth overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. McCaffrey is known for his versatility, becoming one of only three players in NFL history to achieve 1,000 rushing and 1,000 receiving yards in a single season (2019). After being traded to the 49ers in 2022, he was named the Offensive Player of the Year in 2023, leading the league in scrimmage yards and touchdowns, and reaching Super Bowl LVIII. He comes from a football family, being the son of Ed McCaffrey and brother to three other football players.
