The Bachelorette season 22 was set to premiere on March 22,2026.The series is a reality show where a single woman dates various men for several weeks and then decides on the perfect suitor ,whom she may eventually marry.
The controversy lit up after reports surfaced about Taylor Frankie Paul allegedly attacking her ex- partner and throwing a chair during an incident.
On Wednesday ,Paul appeared on “Good Morning America” to promote the ABC series. During the interview ,she breakdown and said,
”“It’s hard to see past this — I’m not going to lie — in this moment, it’s just so heavy,”
Paul also told to host Laura,
”When your life is broadcasted out there in these headlines, it’s like the end of the world, that’s what it feels like — I’m not going to lie. I will say I’ve been here before and I got through it and I’ve shared my story and my light, and I’m hoping I can do that again,”
Earlier, in an interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast on September 10, Paul said:,”It has not hit me right now at this moment,” she said”I’m just thinking about it, and it’s not real. And it’s not going to be until I think the limo is pulling up, you know? And meeting the people.”
Since February 2026,Paul and her partner,Mortensen, have been involved in a domestic assault investigation in Utah.
In the resurfacing video ,Mortensen is heard saying”Your daughter just got hit in the head by a metal chair,”
Taylor Frankie Paul arrested earlier hitting her partner in the past in front of her two children.But later charges dismissed.
Paul was also part of season 5 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and filming has now been stopped, the source stated,
“Taylor has some pretty serious stuff happening regarding her past, and they will see what happens. Until that resolves, they are off.”
Disney Entertainment spokesperson issued a statement,”In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family,”
